Salon Concerts
Some 22 years ago, in 1990, Robert founded Salon Concerts in Austin. It’s a concert series of chamber music played in the intimate settings of some of Austin’s most beautiful homes, followed by food, wine and mingling with the artists.
CHAMPS
Salon Concerts sponsors CHAMPS—Chamber Music in Public Schools—which Robert also founded and supported by driving all over Austin for over 20 years, coaching small groups of lucky musicians, saving chamber music from obscurity among Austin’s youth.
Donate to Salon Concerts and CHAMPS.
Robert’s wish was that CHAMPS (via Salon) survive and thrive well beyond his lifetime.

A life lived well and fully, with friends and family surrounding him with love, laughter and, at times I’m certain, tears. Such a great life and such a beautiful love story between Robert and Kathy. In my small way, I want to reach out and hug this big, big love. May each and every one of us have just a bit of what they had together. My life has definitely been touched by theirs, and all for the better. What a great grief to bear at such a loss, but what sweet memories to have had such a great soul in our lives Thank you for giving us a small window into Robert’s huge life at his memorial service.
